To install the IBM Netezza Client Components for Windows on Windows client systems, do the following:
Use the Universal Windows Installer (UWIFI) to install the client components and their prerequisite software.
Step 1
Insert the IBM Netezza Client Components–Windows DVD into the DVD drive of your client system.
Note: If you have more than one client system, you may install the IBM Netezza Client Components on all the client systems.
The client components software is distributed in a Universal Windows Format (UWF) file.
Step 2
On the client system, start the IBM Netezza Client Components–Windows software installer.
Note: The software installation program installs the software in the default program directory, unless you specify an alternate location.
Step 3
Click Next.
Step 4
The installer displays a list of the software packages that you can install.
